Something I wonder about as well
Even though speed limits are different worldwide
Cars can be customised for each country
So why are cars made to reach such high speeds and why wont government force manufacturers to limit the top speed of cars?
Well here is my 2c worth
1) Faster cars fetch a higher price - means more profit for manufacturer and more tax for government
2) Faster cars reach greater speeds above the speed limit - More money for government
Cars with limited top speeds can make the roads safer
Save on natural resources and can be more environmentally friendly
Why do manufacturers advertise and boast the top speed of certain cars when it is illegal & extremeley dangerous to drive at those speeds
